FUTURE EVENTS FOR ADOBE:
Our next meeting will be on October 15, 2026. Ms. Terri Klucar, former Pinal County Sign Enforcement Officer, will be the featured presenter at ADOBE’s first Community Meeting of the 2026–27 season. Terri will clarify the Pinal County Sign Code and explain the nuances of the regulations governing signs in our community. As we travel throughout Gold Canyon, we see signs along many of the roads we use every day. While these signs may serve a purpose, not all of them necessarily comply with county regulations. Join us for this informative presentation and learn more about the signs we see in Gold Canyon, including which signs are permitted and which may violate county code. On November 19, Mr. Kevin Thompson, Chairman of the Arizona Corporation Commission, will be our speaker. Many of us have heard that water rates may increase, as the Arizona Water Company and Liberty Utilities have requested approval from the Arizona Corporation Commission for substantial rate increases. To help residents better understand what happens when such an increase is requested, ADOBE has invited Community Meeting. The review and approval process is extensive, and our speaker will explain it in clear, understandable terms so attendees can better understand how water rate decisions are made. Both Community Meetings will be held at the Gold Canyon Best Western Hotel, with social time beginning at 6:15 p.m. and the meetings starting at 7:00 p.m. We will kick off the fall session with an informative presentation on "signage" and how signs affect us in Gold Canyon. There is a lot to learn about the Pinal County sign ordinance, and if you have any questions or concerns about placement, sizes, shapes and types of allowable signs, please come to the meeting and learn what we can and cannot do with signs. Probably more than you may ever want to know!

The Gold Canyon Arts Festival is a 1-day event held on the 4th Saturday of January each year. The sponsor of the event is the Gold Canyon Arts Council in co-operation with the Artists of the Superstitions. The Festival will be held on the grounds of the United Methodist Church at 6640 S. King’s Ranch Rd. in Gold Canyon, AZ 85118.

The LPGA is returning to Arizona, in 2025, dates to be announced, for the LPGA Drive On Championship.This event will be held at Superstition Mountain Golf & Country Club in Gold Canyon, AZ

Pet Appreciation Event

In the spring, the Superstition Foothills Baptist Church hosts a pet event which provides fun for all pet owners and pets. Any pets are welcome, including farm animals, exotics, dogs, and cats. Vendors sell animal wares, and pet tricks are the highlight. The Pinal County Sheriff demonstrates drug sniffing cannines --always a crowd pleaser! And also the Pinal County Animal Control folks will be here with some cuddly adoptions ready for you to take home!

Gold Canyon Golf resort

  • Day of the Cowboy is a fun celebration of our western heritage, with food, events, crafts, dancing, music and just plain hootin' and hollerin" ! Join us for this cowboy love of the wonderul land we live in! The event is usually the last Saturday in July!

The Lost Dutchman Marathon, Inc. is a public charity run by an all-volunteer board of directors and officers with proceeds directed to local youth organizations and scholarships.. It will take place on Sunday, February 15th , 2026 Website: Lostdutchman.org The Lost Dutchman Marathon and it's associated races are a favorite of serious marathoners and casual runners alike. This event is held annually over President's day weekend near the rumored site of the legendary Lost Dutchman Mine. Runners can depend on a beautiful location, excellent weather, great volunteers, and fast times.

Wreathes Across America

Wreaths Across America--Our wonderful Gold Canyon citizen, Ms. Nancy Fessbender reminds us about "Wreaths Across America" , which has been in existence since 1992 and is famously known as decorating the Arlington National Cemetery with wreaths. Their goal is placing wreaths on every veteran’s grave in all cemeteries nationwide to remember, honor and pay tribute to their sacrifices! Although still many months ahead, the organization needs to get ready now and plan for their BIg Event in December, 2025. A time to remember those who have given so much that we can be Free Americans living in the Forever Democracy of the United States of America.
